Global restaurateur HMSHost offers a welcome respite at the Delaware Welcome Center on Interstate 95 . In addition to the food choices available within the welcome center, HMSHost operates food trucks at the plaza’s main entrance.
Road Hog is a new Southern-style barbecue food truck, created by HMSHost executive chef Jeff Steelman with a partnership with the Delaware Department of Transportation. The food truck serves barbecue bowls, sandwiches and side dishes daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Road Hog is one of three food trucks currently operated by HMSHost, and the first to open in a travel plaza.
The food trucks are open during spring and summer travel seasons.
